The Utah State Legislature created the Kurt Oscarson Children’s Organ Transplant Account in 1992. Utahns can contribute to the account by checking a box on their Utah State Income Tax Form. Donations are used to provide financial assistance for children needing organ transplants and to promote organ donor awareness.
Financial assistance is in the form of interest free loans. Waivers of repayment may be granted (in accordance wtih federal family income guidelines).

- Child or legal guardian must have been a Utah resident for at least 6 months.
